Overview

InspectCam is a camera utility for creating inspection photos with a visible sign watermark, a photo note, and optional GPS metadata.

InspectCam does not create user accounts, does not show advertising, does not use analytics, and does not upload photos or personal data to a developer server.

Data Accessed or Used

• Camera data: used to show the camera preview and capture photos.
• Photos created by the app: saved as JPEG files in the device gallery.
• Sign text entered by the user: used in the saved photo file name, visible watermark, and photo workflow.
• Photo note selected by the user: written into the photo metadata.
• Location data: if GPS is enabled and location permission is granted, device location may be written into JPEG EXIF metadata.
• Quick comment list and app settings: stored locally inside the app.

GPS and Photo Metadata

GPS is enabled by default because inspection photos may need location evidence.

When GPS is enabled and Android location permission is granted, InspectCam writes location coordinates into the photo EXIF metadata. This location data is embedded inside the JPEG file.

If the user shares, exports, backs up, syncs, or opens the photo with another app or service, the embedded metadata may be included with that photo.

Data Sharing

InspectCam does not sell, upload, or share user data with the developer or with third parties.

Photos and metadata remain on the user's device unless the user chooses to share, export, back up, sync, or open them with another app or service.

Data Retention and Deletion

Quick comments and app settings remain locally on the device until the user edits them, clears app data, or uninstalls the app.

Photos created by InspectCam remain in the device gallery until the user deletes them.

InspectCam does not keep a remote copy of photos, location data, sign text, photo notes, or quick comments.

Security

InspectCam keeps app data local on the device and does not transmit it to a developer server.

Users should protect their device, gallery, backups, and cloud sync accounts because photos may contain visible information, notes, and embedded GPS metadata.

Permissions

• Camera permission: required to take photos.
• Location permission: used to write GPS metadata into photos when GPS is enabled.

Children

InspectCam is not designed for children and does not knowingly collect children's personal data.

Changes

This privacy policy may be updated when InspectCam functionality or data handling changes.
